Terms of Service

Last updated: August 5, 2026

By creating an account, subscribing, paying for a one-time session, or starting a session, you agree to these terms. Please also read the Safety page before using Talvern.

What Talvern is

Talvern is a web and iOS tool for preparing and supporting difficult conversations with AI-generated suggestions.

Talvern is a facilitation tool, not therapy, counseling, legal advice, or emergency support. It does not decide who is right in a disagreement.

Eligibility and consent

You must be 18 or older to use Talvern.

All participants in a conversation must be present voluntarily and must agree to have the conversation transcribed live for guidance purposes. You are responsible for making sure everyone in the room has agreed before starting a session.

Payment

Web prices and App Store prices may differ. Before purchase, the applicable checkout or App Store confirmation displays the price, billing period, included time, and any taxes.

The Standard subscription includes up to 120 minutes per billing period and the iOS Pro subscription includes up to 300 minutes. Only recorded live time is deducted; paused time is not. Unused monthly time does not roll over. Additional 30-minute purchases are consumable, do not renew automatically, and remain available until used.

Stripe processes purchases made on the web. Apple processes purchases made in the iOS app. Manage or cancel an Apple subscription through your Apple account; manage a web subscription through Talvern's billing portal.

Deleting your Talvern account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel the Apple subscription separately before or after deleting the account to prevent future renewal.

Because each session delivers a live, time-boxed service, payments are generally non-refundable once a session has started. If a technical failure on our side prevented you from starting or completing a paid session, contact us and we will review it.

Deleting an account does not automatically create a refund. Statutory refund rights, where applicable, are not affected.

Accounts and saved history

You are responsible for access to your email account and for activity under your Talvern session. Tell us promptly if you believe your account is being misused.

Saved history is provided for convenience. You can delete individual entries, delete all history, or permanently delete your account from account settings.

Acceptable use

Don't use Talvern for unlawful purposes, to record or transcribe someone without their knowledge, or in a situation involving real or threatened violence, abuse, or immediate danger — see the Safety page.

We may end a session that appears to violate these terms.

No professional advice; no warranty

AI-generated guidance is a suggestion, not professional advice, and may be inaccurate or unhelpful in some situations. You are responsible for the decisions you make during and after a session.

Talvern is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
